As you know, the statutory pension for self-employed workers is very low. Preparing for retirement is therefore essential if you want to continue enjoying a comfortable lifestyle when you retire.

CPTI is an individual life insurance policy that offers self-employed individuals the opportunity to build up a supplementary pension under favorable tax conditions.
It is similar to the Individual Pension Commitment (EIP) available to self-employed individuals in companies and business owners.
This is available to self-employed individuals whose main or secondary activity is self-employment, as well as to self-employed caregivers and assisting spouses. However, there are certain limitations. For example, the CPTI is not available to self-employed individuals whose secondary activity is just starting up.

A tax-efficient scheme, since the premiums you pay into the CPTI entitle you to a tax benefit of 30%.
When the final capital is paid out at the legal retirement age, you will only pay 10% tax.
Your total pension (statutory and supplementary) is capped at 80% of your average income over the last three years.
Supplement your CPTI with additional death or disability coverage.
There is no need to choose CPTI over another form of savings; it can be combined withpension savings,long-term savings, and PLCI.
You can use it for a real estate investment via an advance on your pension capital or by pledging a mortgage loan.
