The Jaguar adventure began in 1922. Its founder, William Lyons, initially produced sidecars with his friend William Walmsley under the name SSCC (Swallow Sidecar Company).

In 1928, William Lyons began manufacturing car bodies, which proved to be a real success! Commercial production followed. William Walmsley, less ambitious, decided to jump ship and sold his shares to Lyons.

In 1935, William Lyons decided to change the name and in September 1935 unveiled the Jaguar SS 90, which was replaced by the SS 100 in 1937. It was a real success, as it was this model that made the brand famous!

In 1948, the initials "SS" were definitively abandoned in favor of the Jaguar brand.

Lyons then produced a beautiful model: the Jaguar XK 120, capable of reaching 200 km/h.

After so much success, William Lyons decided to continue along this path with sports cars such as the Type D and then the famous Type E, voted the most beautiful car of the century in 2002.

Jaguar is going through some pretty tough economic times due to the fact that luxury is no longer a priority. After a few setbacks, the 2000s marked the brand's comeback! Jaguar was bought by Indian company TATA Motors in 2008 and success returned.

A symbol of British luxury, Jaguar is attracting an ever-growing customer base.
